Real software capture

Clinosys v0.2 dashboard running locally on macOS
Real Clinosys v0.2 capture with synthetic data: records, schedule and queue remain available in the desktop app.

A fibre outage should not stop a consultation. Clinosys is a local-first desktop application: core clinical data remains on the practice computer and everyday workflows do not depend on a remote web page.

What keeps working offline

1

Patient records

Read and update locally stored profiles, history and notes.

2

Consultations

Record examinations, diagnoses, vitals and treatment plans without a network.

3

Schedule and reception

Use saved appointments and manage the practice waiting queue.

4

A4 prescriptions

Prepare and print prescriptions from data available on the device.

Offline does not mean unsecured

Local storage reduces cloud dependence, but it does not replace encryption or backups. Clinosys encrypts sensitive medical fields with AES-256-GCM and uses a clinic passphrase to load decryption keys into memory.

The app can remain available during an outage while the data file remains unreadable without the passphrase. The practice still controls device security, user accounts and backup copies.

  • Native macOS and Windows application
  • Core clinical data held on the host computer
  • Clinic passphrase lock
  • Built-in backup integrity checks

When a connection is still required

Starting the trial, activating or refreshing a licence, downloading updates and refreshing the extension catalogue may require Internet access. Those control services do not mean that consultations or prescriptions are automatically copied to a cloud.

During a demo, activate first, disconnect Wi-Fi, open a fictional record, create a consultation and print a prescription. This is the clearest way to validate offline behaviour before rollout.

Offline medical software questions

Does Clinosys work without Internet during a consultation?

Yes for the main installed and activated clinical workflows. One-off services such as activation, updates or the extension catalogue may require a connection.

Where are patient records stored?

In a local database on the computer hosting Clinosys, with encryption for sensitive fields and verifiable local backups.

Can I test an outage before buying?

Yes. Use the 14-day trial with fictional data, disconnect the network after activation and verify the workflows your practice relies on.

Test your own offline scenario

Install Clinosys, start the 14-day trial and replay a fictional practice day with Wi-Fi disconnected.
